Bihar has been contributing significantly to India's Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, Comics (AVGC), Film Post-Production, and Digital Content Creation industries for nearly three decades. A large number of artists, technicians, animators, VFX professionals, colorists, editors, compositors, and creative specialists from Bihar have been working on prestigious national and international projects, including Bollywood films, Hollywood productions, OTT content, television series, commercials, and gaming projects.
It is estimated that a substantial percentage of professionals currently employed in India's VFX, animation, and post-production ecosystem have their roots in Bihar. Despite this remarkable contribution, awareness about the AVGC sector, its career opportunities, economic potential, and employment prospects remains extremely limited among the youth, educational institutions, and stakeholders within the state.
At present, Bihar lacks a dedicated AVGC ecosystem, industry-focused policy framework, specialized training infrastructure, and a significant presence of major animation, VFX, gaming, and post-production studios. As a result, talented youth are often compelled to migrate to other states in search of education, training, and employment opportunities in this rapidly growing sector.
Recognizing this gap, the Association of Cinematic Technology & Art (ACTA) has undertaken the mission of bringing together professionals, artists, technicians, educators, entrepreneurs, and industry stakeholders from Bihar onto a common platform. ACTA aims to create a structured ecosystem that can facilitate industry growth, talent development, and employment generation within the state.
With appropriate policy support, industry engagement, and institutional collaboration, Bihar has the potential to emerge as a major AVGC and digital content production hub in Eastern India. Such an ecosystem would not only create high-value employment opportunities for the state's youth but also contribute significantly to Bihar's economic growth, digital transformation, and creative excellence.
ACTA is committed to supporting the Government of Bihar in realizing this vision and positioning the state as a recognized destination for creative technology, media innovation, and global content production under the guiding mission: "From Bihar to Global Screen."
